Long and Short Moments

When it comes to hair, I definitely tend to follow a pretty consistent pattern.

I grow it out really long.
Then, when it gets so long it starts to drive me crazy, I cut it short.
For some reason it seems that the longer I let it grow, the shorter I tend to cut it.
I had enough to donate to Locks of Love!
Then after awhile of having short hair (usually about a year or so) I get bored, decide to grow it out again, and the pattern continues.
I'm lucky to have a talented, hair-cutting sister. She does such a great job! :)
Let the short hair phase begin!

Saturday Night Sunset Moments

I was driving home the other night, and kept catching glimpses of beautiful color in sky as the sun was setting. But I was driving, so I couldn't really enjoy it without causing an accident or something. When I got home the colors were fading, but Tyler and I still spent a few minutes watching from the parking lot in our complex. It was pretty, but I wished we could have enjoyed the whole process from a better vantage point.

So we decided to take our chances, and planned an evening for catching the sunset. We set up our tripod on the deck of Ty's parent's home (because they have an awesome view) and invited my sister to come along. We were definitely not disappointed. It was a gorgeous night.

Photographs never seem to fully do a sunset justice, but we had a lot of fun trying to capture it.

The First Moments of Summer

We spent our first official summer weekend in Bear Lake, one of our favorite places in Utah.

It was the perfect way to welcome summer,
 with camping,
 time in the sun,

 waves,
and family.
We are looking forward to making many more fun moments this summer,
both at home and in some new places!

Moments of Boxes

Last week we packed up our life into boxes. Lots and lots of boxes.

We moved all those boxes to a new apartment, and are now working to unpack them all.
But unlike our old place, we have a lot more space to work with.
We've gone from a tiny 1 bedroom apartment, to a spacious 2 bedroom one.
I guess that means we're moving up in the world...one bedroom at a time.
